Bussayana

An anthology of stories and poems written by bus commuters in Bangalore.

Bussayana was an initiative undertaken by the Bengaluru Bus Prayanikara Vedike or Bangalore Bus commuters' forum. It was an effort to compile stories and poems written by bus commuters in the city about their experience of traveling in the busses. The stories were submitted in response to an online call for entries. These were then compiled into a book that I designed and illustrated. This was part of a larger effort to gain public interest in rallying for a better public transport system in the city. The forum also works towards —among other issues— appealing for reduced ticket prices and more safety for women traveling in the busses.

Read about Bussayana in the press: The Hindu and New Indian Express.
